Mary Kay Leatherman’s love of books began at age ten, when she picked up a copy of To Kill a Mockingbird at a garage sale. This book left a lasting impression and helped shape her lifelong passion for stories. She now writes both fiction and non-fiction, often incorporating influences from both the past and present of her hometown, Omaha, Nebraska. Two of her novels were recognized by Kirkus Reviews for ranking in the top 10 percent of positively reviewed books. Her newest book, All the Lovely Lies recently won the International Impact Book Award. In addition to writing, she owns and manages an ACT Test Prep company and enjoys spending time with her husband, three children, and adorable new grandson.
